Tai Chai lessons help to make school enjoyable in Malmesbury

thCATD5N33A group of parents whose children attend St Joseph’s RC Primary School in Malmesbury have got together to organise a weekly Tai Chi class for children at the school with dyslexia and dyspraxia. Tai Chi is known to be very beneficial for these children as it helps with grounding and centeredness, as well as cross-lateral brain activity. The 10 children at the school are really enjoying the “Tai Chi Tuesdays” and parents have already noticed a positive behavioural change.

However they are unable to sustain the cost of lessons without fund-raising so approached Jemima’s Gift for support to extend the project into the next academic year. We are thrilled to make a gift of funding to enable weekly classes to continue for the whole of the academic year 2013/2014. Jemima loved her Tai Chi Club at Calder House School and would be very pleased with her latest gift. What a great use of resources!
